So why dont we implement some sort of aimed assist in New World aswell, where if you hoover your cursor over a monster then unload your shot, the projectile will automatically path to the victim regardless of where you aim or how much the monster leaps, dodges or jumps. In WoW if you play a mage you tab on a target then unload your projectile which will automatically find its path for you to the victim so no aiming required.
And it is like I mentioned not going to get better, only worse due to further deterioration. But the monsters are way to quick for me and they leap all over the place so I miss most of my aimed shots, making the leveling experience pretty rought and disheartening. I had hoped that New World would be such a game so I picked a healer class/life staff. There still are some games where us elders can see improvements though, such as in MMO's or turn based strategy/RPG games where time is on your side and you dont rely on quick reflexes. I've played League of Legends for 8 years and each year I see myself getting worse, not better - and my dropping rank shows that, which is why I stopped playing ranked and instead just play casual matches. One example, if I buy a FPS game now such as Valorant or CSGO and play it consistently for 2 years, I wouldnt have made any improvement, in fact 2 years from now my performance-wise would be worse then it would be right now and my ranking would have dropped since my reflexes will keep worsening. Due to diminished reflexes because of age, that skill improvement is impossible to achieve.
One of the crucial aspects of a good gaming experience is that you can feel yourself becoming better and seeing skill improvement. At the age of 38 I find my reflexes and aim to be severely diminished from what it used to be when I was a young baby bird, which is the reason I avoid FPS games or fast paced games in general as those are for the younger generations.
